Call for Cov Film Buffs

The UK Asian Film Festival (UKAFF) is heading to Coventry this year, as part of Coventry City of Culture and they are looking for people to get involved! UKAFF is the world’s longest running and UK’s most loved South Asian film festival. Produced by Tongues on Fire Limited, UKAFF brings people together to enjoy electrifying untold stories, bold new cinema, and learn from award-winning filmmakers through an eclectic mix of masterclasses and in conversations. Their short film competition and digital commissions nurture and platform the next generation of British Asian film talent.  The Tongues on Fire is offering two FREE online workshops on the art of curating a film festival. At the end of the workshops, curators will have the opportunity to programme the films taking place in Coventry, and to decide the winners of the Best Film, Curators’ Choice Award for UKAFF 2021. Workshop dates: 27 and 28 March 2021Deadline to apply: 15 March 2021 To apply please send a 100-word letter or 2-min video explaining why you want to be a curator and what you want to gain from this.
